Descrição: Poucos jogos causam uma expectativa tão grande quanto o lançamento de um novo "Final Fantasy". Não é para menos, visto sua trajetória de sucesso. Nascido nos NES em 1987 como a última tentativa do designer de jogos Hironobu Sakaguchi - daí o nome do título -, hoje é uma superprodução das mais famosas no mundo dos videogames. E muito longe do fim. Estão programadas pelo menos três jogos com a terminação "XIII".
Hoje, Sakaguchi não está mais na empresa que lhe deu fama, a hoje Square Enix, mas, visto o resultado do excepcional "Final Fantasy XII", o mais recente da série, sua filosofia foi bem assimilada. A franquia galgou a posição que tem hoje graças principalmente a seu estilo cinematográfico, de elaborar histórias épicas, fato que ficou notório principalmente quando estreou no PSOne, com "Final Fantasy VII", que trazia um belíssimo visual e animações em computação gráfica para a época, e inaugurou a era das superproduções em videogames. Antes, já havia dado shows com a quarta e sexta versão, ambos para Super NES.
O episódio de número 12 mantém, mais do que nunca, esse estilo grandioso, com um visual que não tem muitos rivais na atual geração. Além de trazer novamente uma história épica, como enfoque mais adulto e sombrio, oferece uma jornada excitante de aventuras e batalhas. Melhor: quebra a barreira entre a exploração e os combates - duas partes independentes na maioria dos RPGs -, e, junto com a introdução de funções engenhosas de automatização, incorporam o melhor das lutas de ação com as de turnos.
